The Loar LM-520-VS Carved F Mandolin Vintage Sunburst

The Loar LM-520-VS Carved F Mandolin in Vintage Sunburst

The LM-520-VS is a true bluegrass workhorse—an all-solid, hand-carved F-style mandolin built for serious players. We use select solid spruce for the top and solid maple for the back and sides, all shaped for maximum punch and projection. The maple neck with V-profile is topped with a toneful padauk fingerboard, and an adjustable ebony bridge ensures optimal setup. The vintage sunburst gloss finish and minimal ornamentation give the LM-520 a clean, classic aesthetic. With its powerful chop, crisp lead tone, and dependable build, it’s a standout choice for advancing mandolinists or seasoned pickers alike.
